SAGWA
Sagwa: Children of Second Eden is a hand-painted narrative comic set in the quiet, overgrown ruins of a biotech war.
Know More
SAGWA is my thesis, a hand-painted comic that explores themes of innocence, manufactured purpose, and the slow erosion of memory. It’s not about saving the world—it’s about those left behind, trying to make sense of what remains.

Each spread was hand-painted—panels and all—sometimes layered physically, sometimes assembled in Photoshop after scanning and cleanup. The process blends everything I love: painting, comics, storytelling, and design.

This world is the culmination of everything I’ve learned—across classes, critiques, and creative risks

I experimented with different mediums—acrylic, paper layering, digital compositing—and used software like Photoshop and Blender to explore how best to tell this story. From early sketches to finished spreads, I treated each choice as an extension of worldbuilding. This project merges what I was taught with what I’ve lived, and how I want stories to feel—tactile, intimate, and haunting.
